Two Orthodox priests in Crete, allegedly involved in the repeated rape of a 19-year-old man, were taken into custody Friday after testifying before an investigating judge.
According to state broadcaster ERT, two priests, one of whom is the uncle of a young man with mental retardation, were brought to court Friday morning to testify.
Two priests denied the charges, calling others guilty of mistreating and raping the man.
Priests belonging to the Diocese of Kissamos and Selino have filed a libel suit against the man.
