The USA presented a new Bolt quadcopter (video)

Anduril Industries introduced the Bolt quadcopter, developed for the US Marine Corps. He will be able to perform reconnaissance missions and strike.

According to Breaking Defense, the drone, which weighs 5.5-6.8 kilograms depending on its configuration, can be launched by hand. Its flight range is 20 km, and its battery life is more than 40 minutes. The basic version of the Bolt allows for surveillance, and the Bolt-M is designed to engage targets with a warhead that weighs 1.3 kg.

The company emphasized that customers have already tested the device. Anduril spokesman Chris Brose said that the device was developed for the Organic Precision Fires-Light (OPF-L) program. As part of OPF-L, the military wants to get a compact drone that will fit into a standard backpack.

The Marines will test the Bolt for six months before deciding whether to purchase the drones in fiscal year 2025.

Bolt drones can run Anduril Lattice software. This allows operators, using a touch screen remote control, to select priority targets, the angle of attack and the drone's flight path, writes BB.LV.
