On the evening of Saturday October 5, a 14-year-old teenager fell from the height of the fourth floor of an apartment building in Evozmos. Having received numerous injuries, he was hospitalized in very serious condition.
The boy suffered a traumatic brain injury and his arms and legs were also injured. Last night he was examined, including a CT scan, and late at night he was operated on for traumatic brain injuries. Later information appeared that, fortunately, a tomography showed the absence of a traumatic brain injury, and the operation was performed for injuries to the limbs.
The tragic incident occurred on Moldovlachias street in Evozmos at around 19:00. Police officers and an ambulance arrived at the scene and took the victim to the emergency hospital. An investigation is underway writes CNN Greece.
From the testimony of area residents and online sources, some details about the possible causes of the incident became known. The fall occurred when safety glass on the roof of an apartment building broke, trapping the minor in a skylight. There were other children of the same age nearby.
By indications local residents, teenagers often practice “parkour” on the roof of this apartment building, jumping from a nearby abandoned building. Police are continuing to investigate at the scene and are collecting statements from witnesses.
