More 7000 hectares burned as a result fire in Corinthiaaccording to data received so far from the Emergency Management Service EU “Copernicus” (Copernicus/Emergency Management Service – Mapping).
In particular, as the service recorded, until yesterday, the area affected by the fire that broke out in Rosenn Xylokastro Corinthia amounted to 71,402 acres (7140.2 hectares).
According to meteo.gr/EAA, the fire in Corinthia from 2010 to date is the largest during this period to affect the prefecture of Corinthia.
In addition, according to meteo.gr, from 2010 to this year, major fires in the region have burned a total of more than 18,000 hectares, corresponding to 8% of the total area of Corinthia.
