As Emmanuel Fabian reported for the Israeli newspaper, footage posted on social media shows the aftermath of the attack on weapons believed to have been routed through Syria from Iran and destined for Hezbollah in Lebanon.

He notes that “Various Syrian opposition media outlets suggest that the damaged warehouse was indeed located at the Russian Khmeimim airbase.”.

Around the same time or earlier, the Russian media outlet Interfax reported that the United States and Israel were currently actively discussing a possible military response aimed at Iranian targets in Syria and Yemen.

The U.S. is in active talks with Israel about retaliatory measures that could include a military strike, officials said.
