Hellenic Train launches new ticketing platform

Hellenic Train enters a new digital era with the launch new commercial platform to purchase tickets. From 8 October 2024, passengers will be able to purchase tickets through the platform, which offers updated services, new graphics and features, through a simple registration process.

HT New Platform

Registered users of the HT New Platform will be able to manage their trips directly, without the need to be physically present at the company's ticket offices. In particular, passengers will now be able to:

• change your ticket for free by choosing a different route for the same trip at a different date and time
• change the ticket by paying or returning the difference in the cost of the new ticket
• refuse a ticket or card with a refund in accordance with the method of purchase
• receive compensation for flight delays.

The new commercial platform is a green solution as all tickets are now issued digitally, while offering new options for passengers. They will be able to use the same services across all ticket sales channels (box office, Internet, mobile applications). At the same time, transaction security is enhanced by the adoption of e-ticketing standards that protect systems from the risk of electronic fraud. The new commerce platform also ensures compatibility with other ticketing platforms as they will be developed in a single environment.

Hellenic Train Gift Card

A new product is also available – the Hellenic Train gift card (Δωροκάρta|Hellenic Train), which can be offered as a gift when purchasing tickets and cards on the new commercial platform.

For mobile devices in the Apple Store and Google Store (IOS and Android), the user just needs to install the new Hellenic Train “HT New Platform” application, replacing the existing one. The new commercial platform currently supports two languages: Greek and English, and Italian will be integrated in the near future.

Interoperability

Hellenic Train's goal, in further developing the digital capabilities it provides passengers, is to offer a complete end-to-end travel experience with future integration, access to other public transport apps and additional travel services. The new commerce platform is an important step towards digital transformation, offering innovative capabilities that enhance the passenger experience and create strategic synergies.

Old travel coupons

Passengers holding travel vouchers (e.g. Cancellation or Delay Compensation) valid for one (1) year from the date of issue will be able to exchange them at any Hellenic Train ticket office before the expiration date for cash equivalent.
