A schoolgirl in Komotini discovered a dead cockroach in her school lunch bread.
The incident was reported by the girl's mother, who showed an image of a closed and an open package of bread for confirmation. Website xronos.gr reportsthat nasty insect student found in a package of breadthe lunch menu also included feta and peas with potatoes. In other packages, the “additional component” of the school lunch is not registered.
The publication notes that this a serious breach of hygiene conditions for which the supplier company, not the school, is responsible. The Municipality of Komotini must immediately take appropriate measures against the company to ensure the quality, hygiene and safety of school meals.
