Arrest for parcel with drugs

A man detained in Kilkis attempted to send a parcel containing drugs via a courier company.

On August 24, law enforcement officers in Kilkis detained a citizen who intended to send a parcel with illegal substances and seized a package containing 455 grams of marijuana.

Following coordinated police action, it was established that the accused handed over the parcel to the courier company for dispatchwhich contained 1 package of cannabis with a total weight of 455 grams, which was confiscated. During a search of his home, a package of marijuana with a total weight of 21 grams was found and confiscated.

The arrested person, together with the case brought against him, was taken to the Kilkis District Prosecutor.
