The fire broke out on the tourist bus while the vehicle was travelling along the Thessaloniki ring road, fortunately without endangering the passengers.
The bus was in eastbound traffic near the Napoli interchange. The fire service was alerted shortly before 4pm and went to the scene but did not have to intervene as the fire was put out “with their own resources”.
Earlier, police closed the road due to an oil leak, but traffic was restored.
