Due to the brutal heat wave that has been observed in Greece for a long time, suburban railway service in Patras has been disrupted.
As reported by OPENyesterday, suburban routes between Patras and Rio were suspended due to deformation of steel rails. According to the report, OSE employees rushed to repair the damage today. As noted, the workers were genuinely surprised, since “this has never happened before.”
EMY's Emergency Weather Bulletin says high temperatures, up to 105°F (42°C), will continue for the next few days, at least through Friday.
