A simple check sent two police officers to the hospital and a patrol car to… a repair shop.
As reported, on the evening of 14/07, at about 21:00, police officers asked a 32-year-old Ukrainian citizen, who was walking, to stop for a check. To the surprise of the police squad, he not only resisted, but also hit the police officer on the head and body, while trying to get his service weapon out of the holster, but to no avail. Then the inadequate foreigner attacked a police officer of the Corinth Road Department and punched him in the nose, breaking it.
To avoid arrest, he also resisted other law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene. When, after a few minutes, he was finally immobilized and handcuffed, the Ukrainian quickly kicked the left rear window of the patrol car, causing it to shatter.
The wounded police officers went to the nearest local hospital, where they were given first aid.
