Today (25/6) the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for former Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and leading Russian general Valery Gerasimov “for crimes committed during Russia's war with Ukraine.”
The two warrants bring the total number of senior Russian officials wanted for war crimes to four, after the ICC previously issued arrest warrants for President Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova.
