Radoslaw Sikorski "calms down" Vladimir Putin

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radoslaw Sikorski, called on Russian President Vladimir Putin not to be afraid of the loss of Russian statehood.

How writes BB.LV publication, Sikorsky said that the President of the Russian Federation is in vain afraid of “the loss of 1000 years of Russian statehood.” The Polish Foreign Minister called on Putin not to be afraid of this, having written on X (Twitter):

“Vladimir Putin is worried that his defeat in Ukraine will mark the end of 1,000 years of Russian statehood. But his fears are exaggerated. First, Moscow was only founded in 1147.”

Secondly, he notes, Russia has already experienced defeats in the Crimean War, the Russo-Japanese War at the beginning of the 20th century, the First World War, Poland in 1920, Afghanistan and the Cold War.

The Polish minister did not go into detail that these defeats, although they contributed to the future collapse of the Russian Empire and the USSR, did not lead to complete disintegration, and added: “Thirdly, after empires, national life is possible.”
