Street artist Sandman painted on the wall of the Apollo stadium in Kalamaria (Thessaloniki) a robot hand, the middle finger of which depicts a fatal train from which blood drips.
In his radio appearances, he expressed a desire to have something like a monument to lost souls. “Because our memory is like a goldfish, and we instantly forget what happened to us recently. That’s why I want it to remind us that there are responsibilities that must be given. Because while the duties are some vague. That is why people take to the streets again and again. It’s important for those passing by to see it, so I did it in a central location.” said Sandman, in the world of Orestis Papageorgiou, and concluded: “Unfortunately, there were three people in my circle who were on the train. Fortunately, none of them were hurt. I heard that some people close to them have passed away. We all understood that, by a lucky chance, we did not end up in the place of these people. I recently had a conversation with someone and we were like, “I’m glad you’re alive, glad you’re here.”
