ΕΛ.ΑΣ alerted due to suspicious object in Daphne

Yesterday evening a suspicious object was discovered near a residential building in Daphne, not far from where the director of the Koridalos prison lives.

How tells CNN GREECE, On Monday October 14, a suspicious small purse was found at the intersection of Gravia and Agia Varvara streets. Employees ΕΛ.ΑΣ and fire engines immediately arrived at the scene of her discovery.

The area with the suspicious find was cordoned off, and police were checking the possibility that it was an explosive device. Police were prepared to evacuate residents of the apartment building while awaiting explosive ordnance disposal officers to respond.

However, after the employees of Τ.Ε.Ε.Μ. took the necessary measures, it turned out that the wallet was empty – the alarm, to everyone’s relief, turned out to be false.
