In a private house in the Saranda Ekklisias area of ​​Thessaloniki, which was rented by a British couple from Britain, the bodies of the couple were found in the stage of decomposition.

According to the preliminary police investigation, there are no traces of criminal activity. The husband and wife have been renting this house for the past nine years. The bodies discovered by the homeowner are those of a 74-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman. The wife was lying face down, wearing only her underwear. The naked man was lying on his back.

The neighbors say writes CNN Greece that the woman had recently faced psychological problems and her husband suffered from alcoholism. The owner of the house was the first to see the dead couple when he opened the apartment door. In his statement, he said that after calling the police the day before, he called a locksmith to open the door. Upon entering the apartment, the man discovered the bodies and immediately called the police, and a forensic expert arrived at the scene.

According to neighbors, the couple was lonely, and the neighbors had not seen the spouses for about two months.
