Eleven Romanian pilgrims who climbed Mount Athos are in hospital after eating poisonous mushrooms.
About this reports CNN Greece edition. Some were taken to hospital in a semi-conscious state after eating mushrooms they thought were edible.
The pilgrims began their climb to the top of Mount Athos when, along the way, they noticed and ate mushrooms, which they considered edible. Immediately notified, ΕKAB picked up the pilgrims from the port of Ouranoupoli and took them to Polygyros Hospital.
