PostBank employee lost 300 thousand euros from pensioners' money

PostBank ELTA employee in the Europou area of Kilkis lost at least 300,000 euros from pensioners' deposits in gambling.

There was fraud discovered a month ago when a pensioner went to the bank to update his account and I was surprised to find that out of the 8,000 euros he had, only 2,000 remained after two withdrawals, which he, of course, did not make.

When he told his neighbors what had happened, they also checked their accounts and found that there was no money in them. The common feature of all the cases was that all small investors trusted to the same post office employee, to whom they gave their passports for the transfer of pensions.

However, the employee, who was due to retire in six months, used money from their accounts for gambling.

The victims have resorted to the help of lawyers and are expected to file lawsuits against the gambling postman, who, however, denies embezzling the money.
