In Patras, a driver hit a 16-year-old and fled the scene of the accident

The driver hit a 16-year-old teenager walking along the side of the road in Patras, abandoned the victim and fled the scene of the accident.

“He stopped a few meters from me. I asked for help and he left. I could hardly get to my friend’s house to call my parents or call an ambulance,” the victim said.

The teenager was found bleeding but managed to call his father, who was looking for him in a panic, to find out where he was. “I was walking in the evening to catch the bus home. Then I felt a strong blow. I fell into a field and lost consciousness for a few seconds,” the teenager added.

Fortunately, he was immediately taken to the hospital, and the worst was avoided.

Authorities are now seeking information and conducting an investigation to find the driver. The teenager said he was about 55 years old and had gray hair.
