Attack in Glyfada: a photo of a 14-year-old participant in the beating posted a photo wearing a mask and holding a gun

Photo published 14 year old girl participated in brutal beating of his peer in Glyfadawhere she appears with a face covered with a mask and holds in his hand gunaimed at the camera.

Teenage bravado

According to the MEGA report, it turned out that one of the schoolgirls posted a photo on social networks, which is now being checked by police officers and added to the case file. It is being determined whether the gun is fake, as well as from which account and when the photo was posted. Even if the gun isn't real, the symbolism is pretty creepy.

Meanwhile, despite the intervention of the judiciary, the online war in the form of online hostility does not seem to subside: on the one hand, there are calls online for revenge on those involved in the brutal beating of the girl, and on the other, to admit one’s involvement in it incident.

Despite the intervention of the prosecutor's office and an ex officio investigation by the cybercrime unit, minors have turned online platforms into an arena.

“We'll beat you up”

Days before the brutal beating in Glyfada, the victim girl was subjected to another brutal attack by a classmate who made her life hell. However, it was filmed by another child and the offender was told that the minor would go with the video and file a police report.

Then she started receiving threats on social networks: “That's all I'm saying, send the video now or you'll be in trouble. And not from me… from the other girls, you've seen them, I guess, send the video now! “ – read the messages before the attack on the girl on September 21.

Let us recall that new measures to combat teenage violence provide for tougher penalties for parents, which can include imprisonment. However, the age from which the minor bears criminal liability, remains at 15 years of age and is not reduced to 14.

Since April last year, the website stop-bullying.gov.gr has received 407 reports, 56% of which relate to physical attacks, and 47% to children from kindergartens and primary schools. At least three girls were tested in the Glyfada beating case.

One of the attackers was expelled from school

One of the schoolgirls involved in the brutal beating of a girl in Glyfada has been punished by expulsion from school. The decision was made late last week and, in accordance with the law, she will continue her studies at another school in the area. However, the decision has worried parents of other children at the juvenile offender's new school as they fear similar incidents could happen again.

The second defendant in the case continues to attend the private school where she studies, despite the fact that the victim's father told them about the incident from the very beginning.
