Second arsenal explodes in Russia overnight


Fire and detonation in Krasnodar Krai – Ukrainian drones attacked an ammunition depot in Tikhoretsk, Krasnodar Krai, on the night of September 21.

According to the spokesman of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army South, Sergei Bratchuk, a training airbase (627th training aviation regiment) with L-39 Albatros aircraft is stationed in Tikhoretsk as part of the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots (KVVAUL).

That night, a fire was also reported at the ammunition depot of the 23rd arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Defense Ministry (GRAU). It is located less than 20 km from Toropets, where a few days ago happened a large-scale fire with detonation at the 107th arsenal of the GRAU. There, a strike was carried out on a train where missiles were stored, including Iskander and North Korean KN23. It was also reported that 18 earthquakes were recorded in the Tver region on that day.

Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation statedthat on the night of September 21, 101 aircraft-type UAVs were “destroyed and intercepted”:

“53 UAVs were intercepted and destroyed over the territory of the Bryansk region, 18 over the territory of the Krasnodar region, where an explosion occurred at a suspected military warehouse, 5 over the territory of the Kaluga region, 3 UAVs over the territories of the Tver and Belgorod regions, one UAV over the territories of the Smolensk and Kursk regions and the Republic of Crimea, 16 UAVs over the waters of the Sea of ​​Azov.”

According to ASTRA, the 23rd arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Defense Ministry, located in the Tver region, was hit during the attack on September 21. The village is located 16 km from the city of Toropets, where three days earlier there was also a attacked large weapons warehouse.
