Woman's Desperate Fight With Python Ends With 4-Meter Snake Defeated (Video)

A woman in Thailand was attacked by a python, which tried to strangle her for two hours.

The incident took place in a suburb of Bangkok, a four-meter python attacked 64-year-old Arrom Arunroj in her own home. How reports Bangkok Post, the woman has been living alone for a year. After returning from work and having dinner, she went to wash the dishes in the back of the house, located next to a reed forest.

As the victim says, she was squatting and suddenly felt a sharp pain in her hip. Turning around, she saw a huge python. The woman tried with all her might to push the snake away, grabbing it by the head. However, the forces were unequal, and the python, having wrapped itself around the elderly woman's body several times, began to strangle her.

She resisted for two long hours until her pleas for help were heard by a passing neighbor, who immediately called the rescuers. The emergency response team burst into the closed, dark house. It took them 30 minutes to free Arrom from the 20-kilogram python. The victim looked very exhausted, and several bites were found on her body. She was given first aid and hospitalized. Now the woman is recovering in the hospital.

It is worth noting that pythons are not poisonous, but the wounds they leave behind can contribute to the spread of infections.
