White House acknowledges Zelensky's peace plan "realistic" and ponders his contribution to it (video)

The administration of US President Joe Biden has reviewed Volodymyr Zelensky's proposed plan to end the war in Ukraine. It found it to be workable and realistic, said Linda Thomas-Greenfield, US Ambassador to the UN:

“We have seen President Zelenskyy's peace plan. We believe that it lays out a strategy and a plan that can work. And we need to understand how we can contribute to that by engaging with all the heads of state who will be here in New York at the UN General Assembly on September 22-23. So we hope to make some progress.”

Thomas-Greenfield stressed, writes The Moscow Times, that the United States always hopes to find a path to peace. This is the goal that Joe Biden has been working toward in recent years, both in the Gaza situation and in the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine.

September 16 The Ukrainian president said that the development of a “victory plan” in the war with Russia is being completedand he will soon present the document to the Western allies:

“The steps necessary for Ukraine have already been defined absolutely clearly. That which can give us the strongest possible positions for bringing peace closer – a real, fair peace. <…> More than 90% of everything has been written out.”

According to Zelensky, The plan includes military, political, diplomatic and economic aspects, each of which has a clear list of actions to strengthen Ukraine's position. He stressed:

“There is not a single impossible thing there.”

Earlier, on September 12, Vladimir Zelensky criticizes Brazil-China 'peace plan'calling it “destructive” and pointing out that it is more in line with Russia’s interests.

In the middle of June Russian President Vladimir Putin presented his plan to end the war. It provides for the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Russian-occupied Ukrainian regions, recognition by Kiev of the loss of sovereignty over these territories and Crimea, Ukraine’s refusal to join NATO, securing the country’s non-nuclear status, and the lifting of Western sanctions against Russia. Putin's proposal was immediately rejected in Kyiv, calling it unacceptable.
