Belgian tourists with 2-year-old child hit by drunk driver in Thessaloniki (video)

A married couple from Belgium – the head of the family, a pregnant wife and a two-year-old child – suffered from the inadequacy of a drunk driver in Thessaloniki.

The family came from Belgium on holiday, tells newsbeast.gr. Both parents are in the intensive care unit at Papageorgiou Hospital, intubated. The woman is five months pregnant. The two-year-old boy is in good condition.

The accident occurred on Wednesday, September 11, in the eastern Thessaloniki district of Thermi. The 45-year-old driver of the car lost control and crashed into the place where a couple with their child, a 37-year-old husband and a 34-year-old wife, were located. The car continued on its way, eventually crashing into the fence of an olive grove. The driver, who tested positive for a breathalyzer, suffered minor injuries.
