Trump-Harris Debate: Early Poll Results

CNNi reports on what the first polls of American voters showed after the debates.

Today, everyone's eyes are glued to the results of the first polls after the decisive Kamala Harris debates Donald Trumpconducted after their completion. They identified the winner – the candidate from the Democratic Party. In particular 63% of debate watchers said Harris won, while only 37% said Donald Trump won the debate., notes edition.

Harris's apparent victory is notable because the same group of voters had mixed feelings before the election: When asked before the debate who they thought would win, 50% predicted Harris, while 50% chose Trump.

The poll was conducted via text message to voters who were recruited in advance and agreed to be interviewed after the debate. The poll's margin of error, which does not reflect the electorate as a whole, is plus or minus 5.3 percentage points.

The results are in stark contrast to the June debate between Trump and President Joe Biden. A poll conducted immediately after that debate found that two in three voters in attendance picked Trump as the winner, while only a third said Biden was the winner.

According to a poll, American voters are divided over whether which of the two candidates understands their problems better: 44% say Harris understands them better, 43% say Trump understands them better than anyone. But they give Trump a 20-point lead over Harris (55% to 35%) after a debate over his approach to the economy.

Another interesting finding is that 82% of Americans who watched the debates said they were not influenced by who they voted for in the November 5 election. 14% said the debate made them reconsider their opinion but would not change it, and only 4% said they changed their mind about who they would vote for in the US presidential election.

Social media users note, if we generalize the reviews, that Trump lost the “staring contest.” If you watch the video without sound, you can say that Haris won the debate. She looked “correctly” at Trump when he spoke and at the camera when she spoke. Periodically, her eyes became moist from worrying about the American people. She accompanied Trump’s statements like a great actress, burning them with her gaze, “destroying” everything he said. Trump traditionally pursed his lips, did not smile, and looked at the floor more often. He did not feel comfortable. And it seems he did not feel like a winner.

Following the televised debates in Philadelphia between US presidential candidates Kamala Harris (Democratic Party) and Donald Trump (Republican Party), the majority of viewers considered Harris the winner. According to a poll conducted on Tuesday, September 10, commissioned by a number of US media companies, 45% of respondents gave the victory to Harris, and 39% to Trump.

Such results, writes Deutsche Welle, were obtained based on the analysis of responses from registered voters who watched the televised duel. At the same time, 44% of respondents expressed a negative attitude towards the current Vice President Harris, and 51% towards the former head of the White House Trump.
