A knife attack on a 41-year-old man in the center of Thessaloniki ended with the arrest of two perpetrators.
According to law enforcement agencies, during an organized police operation at noon on Friday, August 30, in the city center, two foreigners aged 36 and 34 were identified and arrested. A criminal case has been opened against them for attempted murder with complicity, violation of weapons and drug laws. A 36-year-old man is also awaiting a decision on a case of drug trafficking and illegal entry of foreigners into the country.
During a search of the home of the arrested persons, five packages containing raw cannabis with a total weight of 133.51 grams and a mobile phone were found and confiscated.
The detainees attacked the man with a knife on the night of August 28, wounding him in the left shoulder, reports CNN Greece. The knife used in the attack and ammunition were found and confiscated at the scene. The victim was treated at a city hospital.
Those arrested in connection with the case brought against them will be brought before the competent prosecutor.
