Nafpaktos: The moment a giant pine tree collapsed, nearly crushing a family

A surveillance camera captured the moment a huge pine tree in Nafpaktos Castle suddenly falls onto the street.

At the time, there were three adults and two children at the scene. As the video shows, the unsuspecting visitors, standing in the middle of the street, hear a strange sound, look up, and then grab the children by the hands and run away. A few seconds later, a huge pine tree will fall on this spot!

The incident happened on Friday afternoon: a massive pine tree located on the road leading to the Venetian castle of Nafpaktos broke, literally crushing two parked cars.

Four fire engines were dispatched to the scene to evacuate the vehicles and clear the road for traffic to resume.
