Greek athletes at the Paris Olympics will live in comfortable conditions

The Greek Olympic Committee has provided air conditioning for its athletes in the Olympic Village.

EOE decided at the plenary session that all rooms of Greek athletes will have air conditioning, writes CNN Greece: Following the Paris 2024 organizing committee's decision not to install air conditioning in the Olympic village, “the purchase was deemed necessary and mandatory to ensure the best possible living conditions for the members of the Greek delegation,” EOE said.

The costs will be covered by the Hellenic Olympic Committee. They concern portable air conditioners, created with new technology – low energy consumption and environmentally friendly, and the transportation to France is sponsored by GO Shipping.

After the Olympics, the air conditioners will be returned to Greece and donated to the Tabernacle Rowing Training Centre for installation in the dormitories.
