Due to damage to an Athens metro train, traffic to/from the airport on the Chalandri-Municipal Theatre section was temporarily restricted on the morning of July 26.
Trains are running to Chalandri due to a technical fault, CNN Greece writes, and the airport service has been suspended. The train, currently at Doukissis Plakentias station, is damaged and is emitting smoke, ΣΤΑΣΥ reports.
According to ΣΤΑΣΥ, specialists fixed the problem as quickly as possible, and traffic to and from the airport is already being restored.
