Pyrgos: Mother and child killed in bloody accident

The bloody accident occurred at midday on Friday (26.07), when a truck collided with two cars, resulting in the death of a mother and her child.

The national road Kyparissia-Pyrgos is temporarily closed due to a truck overturning and traffic is being detoured via Elayia. Ambulances and EKAB traffic police are at the scene.

Authorities immediately left for the scene, ambulance workers, firefighters and police are working to extract the victims. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. The accident, according to other sources, occurred on the well-known turnoff “Elaya”, where too many traffic accidents have occurred in the past.

The final death toll is still unknown. Four victims were rescued from the damaged vehicles, one of whom is in critical condition and was intubated at the scene of the accident, he will be transferred to Kalamata Hospital.
