Massive attack on French rail network on opening day of Olympics

A massive attack sufficient to cause paralysis The TGV high-speed train network was destroyed overnight by hundreds of rioters, French rail company SNCF told AFP, hours before the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

The statement also said the attacks were coordinated and therefore planned. The paralysis of the Parisian rail network led to chaos at central stations:

Hours before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, #SNCF is the victim of a “massive attack aimed at paralyzing” the TGV network, with arson attacks.
