Passenger who attacked metro station manager jailed


At 11:25 p.m. last Thursday, July 18, a passenger at the Victoria metro station on Line 1 attacked the station master.

He jumped over the ticket check turnstile to board the train arriving at the station and attacked the boss who was nearby. A security guard from a private company with which ΣΤΑ.ΣΥ cooperates came to the aid of the victim – he was present at the incident.

Police officers from the “Aριάδνη” department immediately arrived in response to the call. Greek army. who arrested the man. ΣΤΑ.ΣΥ announcement:

“The management of ΣΤΑ.ΣΥ unequivocally and in the strongest possible terms condemns the attack that an employee of the company was subjected to while performing his official duties, which resulted in his injury, and wishes him a speedy recovery.”

The station master was taken to hospital by EKAB due to facial injuries and as a precaution. He was hospitalized for 3 days and after all the necessary examinations were completed, he was discharged.

Attacker preliminarily sentenced to 29 months in prison for a number of crimes, including causing damage to foreign property used in the public interest, writes CNN Greece.

ΣΤΑ.ΣΥ filed a separate lawsuit for a violent crime against its employee who was performing his duties, resulting in the offender being sentenced to an additional 18 months in prison, without suspension and without appeal. The criminal has been imprisoned and is already serving his sentence.
