New video of assassination attempt on N. Trump: “This is the guy”

New video has emerged of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, showing the moment a Secret Service agent and police officers arrived at the scene where 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks was shot and killed.

In a video released by Iowa Governor Chuck Gracely, people on a roof see a dead guy. “So this is what he's like,” – a Secret Service officer can be heard saying, confirming reports that the agency had been previously warned of the boy's presence.

“That's him,” confirms a Beaver County 911 officer. He also says the officer took a photo of Crooks before the Trump assassination attempt. “That's the sniper that sent us the photo and saw him get off his bike and drop his bag before he lost sight of him,” he says. Two security officers then look at the guy's iPhone photos.

Recall that local police officials said the US Secret Service was informed about Crooks and designated him as a “threat” 10 minutes before the start of Trump's rally in Pennsylvania.

Kimberly Cheatle, the head of the US Secret Service, resigned over the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump on July 13. The day before, Cheatle spent nearly six hours at a House committee hearing, testifying and answering questions from members of Congress. Cheatle acknowledged that the assassination attempt was “the most significant failure of the secret service in decades” and took responsibility for this failure.

But lawmakers were not satisfied with her performance, and members of both major parties called on Cheatle to voluntarily step down, which she did the following day, Tuesday.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has threatened criminal prosecution against the former head of the Secret Service and the US Secretary of Homeland Security. “She will not be able to slip away and enjoy retirement. Cheatle and Mayorkas will be held accountable for their actions, including possible criminal investigations,” she wrote on social media.

Speaking to Newsmax, Trump confirmed that Republicans had asked for more security for him, but were denied. The situation only improved after the assassination attempt. It was previously reported that after her resignation, former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle will receive a government pension of $50,000 a year for the rest of her life.
