Eat as much as possible "Tiger shark"

An extreme athlete from the UK has attempted to eat as much food in two days as a tiger shark eats in one meal.

38-year-old British extreme sportsman Ross Edgley decided to test whether he could eat as much in two days as a tiger shark eats in one meal.

Tiger sharks often go months without eating, and then stuff their stomachs to capacity. The sharks store calories as fat, which allows them to survive for long periods without food.

The idea to replicate the calorie count of a tiger shark's diet came to Edgley in 2018, when he swam around the entire United Kingdom in 157 days, covering 2,860 kilometers.

Before the experiment began, Edgley fasted for 24 hours and spent 16 hours in a special chamber at Loughborough University to deprive his body of all nutrients. He found this to be the most difficult part of the experiment.

“You can't sleep because you're so hungry, and your body is cramping because you've lost so much water and electrolytes.”he told Metro newspaper.

The athlete then began eating the most calorie-dense foods he could find. His diet included pizza, cheesecake, burgers, French fries, ice cream, custard, chocolate bars, weight-gain shakes, and other foods.

In the end, Ross Edgley had to admit that the crazy diet did not bring him the desired result. Although he gained almost ten kilograms in two days, he could not even come close to the amount of calories that a tiger shark consumes in one meal. The caloric content of the food that the athlete ate in two days was only 28% of the amount that a tiger shark eats in one meal.

The athlete would do well to look into Wikipedia to find out that this is one of the largest modern sharks. On average, tiger sharks reach a length of 3.25-4.25 m, with a weight of 385-635 kg. With all due respect to the extreme sportsman, he does not match this huge fish, except perhaps in terms of intelligence.
