Greece: Where is the “Island of the Dead”

The only island in Greece that hardly anyone would want to visit is the “island of the dead”.

Just a few kilometers from the beautiful Monemvasia, off the coast of the village of Agios Fokas, there is a small “piece of land” in the sea. The video of the landscape of the “island of the dead” (“νησί των νεκρών”), which we can see thanks to the drone footage of the YouTube channel UpStories, is a truly eerie landscape, unique in Greece. Because its only inhabitants are the dead.

The locals gave this small island its nickname, and as you can see in the footage, all that exists on it is a small church and a cemetery. Watch the video on the UpStories channel.
