Exorbitant amount tourist paid for moussaka

After the “golden” squid, a dish for which a tourist paid 800 (!) euros this summer on the expensive Greek islands, mainly Mykonos and Santorini, the price of the traditional Greek dish, moussaka, has skyrocketed.

This is a very popular Greek dish among both Greeks and foreign tourists visiting the Greek islands. However, the customer of the restaurant was very annoyed by the bill she was given after she ate a portion of the above dish.

As reported by cycladeslive.gr, a Greek tourist paid 33 euros for a portion of moussaka, as follows from her complaint on the local Cyclades website. “They charged me 33 euros for a portion of moussaka!!! Can you imagine! One piece, one portion cost 33 euros! And when I asked the waiter why it was so expensive, do you know what answer I got???? “This is Santorini, what did you expect, baby?”

“The victim of tyranny”, unfortunately, did not name the restaurant or send a photo of the receipt. Therefore, it remains unknown whether the island's audit bodies conducted a corresponding inspection of the establishment.

But the unfortunate “squid eater”, on the contrary, showed a receipt. However, we note that this was much earlier, in 2019, as can be seen from the date on the receipt.
