An ambulance hit two women shopping in Skiathos. The incident was recorded on a surveillance camera.
Footage shows an ambulance returning from the island's medical centre hitting two women as they looked at merchandise on a shop counter on the pedestrianised Papadiamanti Street.
By message Skiathoslife.gr, the ambulance driver was a soldier, and the rescuer in the ambulance cabin provided first aid to the two women. He offered to take them to a medical facility, but the women refused.
According to the citizens, it was only a matter of time before something like this happened, as businessmen put chairs, tables, clothes hangers, etc. outside the areas granted to them by the municipality. As a result, when ambulances, fire trucks, etc. need to arrive at these areas, a dangerous situation is created. They also consider the speed that the ambulance driver reached at that time on the Papadiamantis pedestrian road to be unjustified and immediately demand regular checks to avoid such incidents.
