Attica: Find out which beaches are suitable and which are not for swimming

The first sampling took place on May 10, and repeat tests began on June 25.

The regional sanitary and epidemiological supervision service has published the results of the June survey measuring the cleanliness of the beaches of Attica, unsuitable for swimming. Fortunately, no new “dirty beaches” were added to the list, but the number of clean ones did not increase either.

Due to the economic difficulties experienced by Greek citizens and the high cost of sea transport, many residents of Attica prefer to stay in their “home” region and want to know, on what beaches can they swim on.

The first sampling was carried out on May 10, and repeat checks began on June 25, with results being announced on an ongoing basis. Check out the ultimate list of beaches in Attica, Piraeus and Evia. The list is long, but the beaches that POSITION considers unsuitable for bathing, are considered especially popular:

  • Paleo Faliro – Flisvos Beach
  • Alimos-Kalamaki – Alimos Beach
  • Municipality of Glyfada – Glyfada beach – Asteria. End of the beach
  • Municipality of Glyfada – Glyfada Beach Akti A, between Glyfada Athletic Yacht Club Glyfada 2nd Marina Glyfada. Diadohou Pavlos Street
