Another step towards nuclear war

The security agreement between Ukraine and Poland provides for “the possibility of intercepting missiles and drones in the airspace of our country launched in the direction of Poland,” Zelensky's office reported.

And this is a very interesting option, providing Polish air defense and missile defense systems with quite broad freedom of action in the skies over Ukraine. Because in general, with a certain margin of error, “flying towards Poland” you can name almost any missile flying from somewhere in the territory of the Russian Federation to some target in the territory of Ukraine. And of course, you can not count – it's up to those who count.

So it turns out to be quite interesting: to cover the airspace over Ukraine (at least over its western part) it will be possible to use missile systems deployed on the territory of Poland. And if the Russian army can find and destroy similar systems deployed in Ukraine itself (and what's more, it finds and destroys them), then this will not work with Poland, and if it does, then in fact it can be interpreted as an attack on a NATO country with all the consequences that entails.

Let me repeat: it is not a fact that this is what will happen, and most likely the ability to shoot down Russian missiles over Ukraine will remain just an option for the Poles. However, the very existence of this option and even more so its actual use brings the Ukrainian war a little closer to the status of a direct war between the Russian Federation and NATO, and in this sense it would be very interesting to see what other members of the North Atlantic Alliance will say about this.

However, I doubt that Warsaw could do something like this without the approval of at least its main allies, so they are most likely leading us to a global thermonuclear war quite deliberately.
