On Saturday evening, July 6 at 20:34, tremors measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale alarmed residents and visitors of Kyllini.
According to the Institute of Geodynamics, the depth of the seismic shock was 2 kilometers, the epicenter was located 10 kilometers southwest of Andravida. The tremors were felt especially strongly in Ilia, Achaia and Zakynthos.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Institute estimated the earthquake's magnitude at 4.9 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre 9 kilometres west/northwest of Gastouni and its depth at 10 kilometres.
