Shock: Gravediggers stole gold teeth and heart valve of deceased

At the city cemetery of Kalamata, after the time came for the daughter of one of the deceased to collect her mother's remains for burial in the crypt, the woman discovered that gold teeth were missing from them, as well as a metal heart valve.

According to the daughter, the exhumation process took place in her presence on June 14. The woman was surprised to see that her mother's gold teeth were missing. However, the second shock awaited her on Saturday, when she went to collect the remains that had been processed (dried) in the previous days.

According to the woman, the bones were left to dry in a storage room, and when she was given the remains, she did not find among them the metal heart valve that she had previously seen during the exhumation. That is, it had been stolen.

According to the newspaper “Tarros”, the woman filed a complaint at the Kalamata police station for “insulting the deceased” and theft. The police are investigating to establish the identity of the gravediggers who took the valuables.
