ERT* journalist arrested at noon on Tuesday and is being held at the Omonia police station because he beat his partner, also a journalist working for Public Television.
The incident took place at the couple's home in the center of Athens. The argument sent the man over the edge, resulting in his girlfriend being taken to KAT Hospital severely beaten.
On Monday, the victim went to the hospital to have the beatings removed, and on Tuesday morning she filed a complaint against her boyfriend with the Omonia anti-domestic violence department. As a result, he was arrested on 25/06/24 at noon in the Piraeus area and taken to the Omonia detention center. The attacker spent the night in the bullpen and was taken to the prosecutor's office on Wednesday morning, where he will have to testify.
