Tragedy in Lefkada: 43-year-old Chinese woman drowned in paraglider crash

Her holiday in Lefkada ended tragically – a 43-year-old woman fell into the sea with her paraglider and drowned.

Causes tragic incident have not yet been named. The woman came to the island with a group of tourists on vacation and chose a paragliding flight on its western coast. Later, those swimming in the sea were horrified to see the paraglider fall into the sea. One of the swimmers and a boat in the area rushed to help.

The belted woman was swept out to sea. Considerable efforts were required to free her and bring her ashore to the beach of Agios Nikitas. There, first attempts were made to resuscitate her, and then an ambulance took her to Lefkada Hospital. However, all the doctors' efforts ended in vain.
