17-year-old citizens of Ukraine must return from abroad to register for military service

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports that seventeen-year-old Ukrainians who are abroad must return to the country and register with territorial recruitment and social protection centers.

This was stated on June 4 by the speaker of the Ministry of Defense, senior lieutenant Dmitry Lazutkin, quotes “Army Inform”:

“Young men who are 17 years old must register with the military. There is such a requirement. And it also applies to those who are abroad. If these people retain Ukrainian citizenship and connect their future with our country, then, obviously, it’s worth it do”.

When asked about the possibility of remote registration through the Reserve+ mobile application, the speaker of the Ministry of Defense answered negatively – this cannot be done in the application and you need to appear at the TCC yourself.

Previously, the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained that we are talking about military registration, which has nothing to do with mobilization, and young men who have not registered for military service will be sent summonses.
