The Supreme Prosecutor's Office, in its order, asks the head of the first instance prosecutor's office, Lamia, to investigate the causes of the fire and then inform them. The order says:

“I ask you to investigate the causes of the fire, which, according to reports in the electronic press, completely destroyed the plant of the company “Γιαννίτση” in the industrial zone of Lamia on Sunday, May 19, 2024, due to the involvement of the plant in school lunches, due to which primary school students ended up in hospital due to mass food poisoning.
