The RDK said that they were going to release Alexei Navalny from the colony

Soldiers of the Russian Volunteer Corps, who fight on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, claim that together with “supporters from the ranks of law enforcement agencies” they developed a plan for the forceful release of Alexei Navalny, BILD reports.

RDK supporters were supposed to attack the convoy that was taking Navalny to the penal colony IK-3 “Polar Wolf”, and then take him to Ukraine.

“According to the plan, we were supposed to recapture Alexei Navalny from the convoy on the road to IK-3 in the Yamalo-Nenets District with the forces of our group, and then, together with him, we were supposed to immediately go to the border territory with Ukraine, meet with the RDK reconnaissance group to cross the border and obtaining asylum. Unfortunately, the security measures taken by the FSIN and the FSB to prevent such scenarios turned out to be quite effective,” – says the text published by RDK.

In particular, the corps notes that the date and time of transferring Alexei Navalny to a correctional colony has changed several times. As a result, he was taken to IK-3 “Polar Wolf” by the time the RDK group “had not yet managed to leave for the territory where it was planned to begin the operation.” At the time of Navalny’s death, the RDK was revising the plan and adapting it to new conditions.

The Russian Volunteer Corps also published several screenshots from videos showing Alexei Navalny in the colony. These shots have not been published before: in one screenshot the politician is standing in a sewing workshop, in another – in the office of the head of the colony. In addition, RDK published information about employees of IK-6, where Navalny was held before being transferred to the Polar Wolf colony.

Social networks were quite skeptical about this statement, assessing it as follows: it’s one thing to steal photos from an employee’s phone, another thing is to break through the camp security and manage to reach the border.
