SYRIZA veterans: “Let’s beg Tsipras to come back on our knees”

The return of Alexis Tsipras to SYRIZA is what the party’s “veterans” “fervently” desire, they said at an event in Arcadia.

“The only solution – in my humble opinion – is not to beg, but to kneel before Alexis Tsipras,” said a SYRIZA member who spoke on the issue at an event in Astros Kinourias, asking party members “beg” former party president. I completely respect him, I’m not bothered by his idiosyncrasies, and I’m not homophobic. Are we seeing an increase in SYRIZA’s numbers overall? How are politicians assessed? According to the result. Do we see SYRIZA increasing its performance or is it declining? Will we drop below 10% after the European elections, losing the psychological barrier of 20%?

And then how will she bounce back? Is there a chance? I don’t see him, guys. So the only solution, in my humble opinion, is not to beg or kneel before Alexis Tsipras, who will not force a reboot. But the parliamentary group will have to plead with him.”

Georgios Papailios: “With SYRIZA as the main core, a political force must develop that will lead to the creation of a broader front of progressive forces so that they can effectively confront the government of Mitsotakis in political terms. And this is what we must see. And then – choice of personalities, because it was mentioned, I would say that at the moment SYRIZA has leadership, you all talked about this, of course. Of course, the beginning of a person’s life is also the beginning of a person’s life, so everything is decided in practice. And they judge – to be honest – based on the result.

PS It seems to me that Alexis Tsipras is laughing loudly on the sidelines, looking at what is happening. However, I don’t think he will want to return to this cesspool called the renewed SYRIZA. But this is my personal subjective opinion.
