How much did ZARA earn in Greece?


The company, which operates the brands Zara, Zara Home, Bershka, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Oysho, Massimo Dutti, has seen a reduction in its stores, but its overall headcount, investment and innovation introduced in the past year have increased.

This year marks Zara’s 30th anniversary in Greece. The company appeared on the domestic market in 1993, the first store appeared at Ermu 9, at the intersection with Vulis Street, where it is located to this day. In 2021, to better manage its brands, the company “took” individual mass market brands under its wing. Three decades later our country is considered one of the largest markets of the Inditex group in terms of sales volume and second after Spain.

For the period 01.02.2021-31.01.2022, the company’s sales reached 614.8 million euros, compared to 457.4 million euros in the corresponding period last year. In 2022, EBITDA (a measure of earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) fell to 75.59 million euros from 80.4 million euros. Profit before tax fell to 27.455 million euros from 29.536 million euros and net profit to 21.021 million euros from 21.110 million euros.

The company’s management expresses satisfaction with the sales performance in the financial statements for the twelve-month period (02/01/2021-01/31/2022), published earlier.

The accounts of ITX Hellas SA for the financial year ending January 31, 2023 indicate that there were a total of 148 stores operating in Greece. In particular, 40 Zara, 22 Pull & Bear, 11 Massimo Dutti, 27 Bershka, 22 Stradivarius, 17 Oysho and 9 Zara Home stores.
