"Replacement of household appliances for enterprises": three important changes to the program

Applications for the Business Appliance Replacement Program (αλλάζω συσκευή για επιχειρήσεις) are ongoing and are open until the budget is exhausted.

Within the framework of this program, for which 105.60 million euros have been allocated, three significant changes. These changes were approved by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Theodoros Skylakakis, and the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Mr. Nikos Papathanasis, as recorded in the Decision (KYA: No. ΙΠEN/YDEN/92784/583). Program “Changing a device” – pThe minister's stop provides for the following important changes:

• Simplifying the process of achieving your energy goal. Now, to replace appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, ovens and heat pumps, a new emissions certificate for each appliance will be sufficient. This certificate can be issued by energy inspectors or auditors both before and after installation, greatly simplifying the process.
• Expanding the program's coverage. Farmers can now become participants by submitting applications from September 26, 2024.
• Support for device recycling. In addition to support for eligible costs, support will be provided in the amount of €250 per device sent for recycling (with a maximum limit of €500).

The program remains open to all interested parties until the budget is exhausted. The applications submitted are currently being assessed and decisions on the inclusion of beneficiaries will be published shortly. After making the decision to include beneficiaries will be able to open special escrow accounts to which the entire amount of assistance will be transferred.

It is important to note that applications are submitted through the program’s electronic platform: https://exoikonomo-epixeiro2023.gov.gr. In this case, the direct assessment method (First in-First out) is used. The program is being implemented as part of the “Saving – Doing Business” campaign (“Εξοικονομώ – Επιχειρώντας”) with the support of the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
