Kyriaki Papadopoulou (Marinella) was admitted to the intensive care unit after suffering a severe stroke.
The 86-year-old singer lost consciousness on stage during a performance in Irodio. According to protothema.gr, Marinella regained consciousness only in the dressing room of the concert hall, where her personal doctor provided assistance.
At 22:20 she was taken to the hospital by ambulance. At the Marinelle medical facility, an MRI was performed. Doctors diagnosed a cerebral hemorrhage.
Medical report: «Papadopoulou Kyriaki (Marinella) was taken to hospital at 10:30 pm after losing consciousness. She had a severe stroke (bleeding) and was transferred to the intensive care unit and remains in the hospital for now. Attending physician: Ilias K. Politakis”.
